Pelorus River Overnight Packrafting Trip

Early on in April, I was stoked to paddle with my mate Will Bosnich on the Pelorus River in the Richmond ranges located in the top of the South Island. I've been keen to do this backyard paddle for a long time.

We did this trip over 2 days via walking into Roebuck Hut for a night and day 2 paddling down the Pelorus River to the get out at the Pelorus Bridge campground.

We were hoping for a bit of rain to top up the river but we got a little bit more than we bargained for! What an epic trip!

My choice of Jetboil cooker for this Packrafting trip was the Minimo. I really like the big metal handles for pouring and the wide cooking cup for those evening big hot chocolates.
